why nutrition?

Why, tho?

It’s a loaded question. I’ve had a lot of time to think about why I’m choosing this path. To tell you the truth, I haven’t felt fulfilled in my previous jobs. Back in late March of 2020, my world turned upside down and I was furloughed from my career in the fashion industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That hit me like a ton of bricks, let me tell you. I held out for a little while, since this was basically the only industry I had professional experience in since graduating college. I let the fear sink in for a while. I had a lot of self-doubt.

I started asking myself why I wanted to stay in this industry. What was I waiting for? My conclusion: it was all I knew. I was scared to make a big change.

So here I am at almost 26 years old, ready to take that risk and make a change (only sort of freaking out). I’m stepping into a lot of unknown right now, but one thing I do know for sure is why I’m starting this journey with nutrition.

I want to make an impact on the way people choose to live their lives. I have a huge desire to change the way we look at our own health and overall well-being. I want to act as both a student and an educator every day. Most of all, I want to wake up and feel f*cking good about the work that I’m doing.
